People are seen sitting near bonfires to warm themselves on cold winter evenings and nights at many places in Jehanabad. Jehanabad too wakes up to chilly mornings for the last fortnight as severe cold waves sweeps through entire north India. There is still further forecast of a likely severe cold days. People of jehanabad are experiencing the bitterest cold wave in January. The cold waves have disrupted the normal life of jehanabad. It has adversely affected schools and all kinds of business establishments including shops and restaurants. The sale of crushed sesame(Tilkut) has also declined. It's common in Jehanabad to see homeless families sleeping on roadsides, railway platforms and any shelter
The district magistrate should make some arrangements to move homeless people to temporary shelters they should not be left to sleep outdoors in open.
