Turkish lawmakers pass bill monitoring civil society groups

Newly introduced articles on associations and foundations, included in the bill on “Preventing Financing of Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction,” allow the annual inspection of non-governmental organizations, ostensibly to combat terrorism financing.
